richmond summer + pregnancy = inside shoot

I had such great intentions for Kate's maternity shoot. We had been discussing her maternity shoot for quite a while. We were going to head to the Japanese Gardens at Maymont. We would bring her son with us and incorporate him into some of the shots (if he was willing).....Then this past Sunday came, the day of our shoot and holy heat and humidity, Batman! Kate was kind enough to let me set up a shoot at her house instead. Such a beautiful glowing Mama with such gorgeous eyes!

rain, rain, go away

I had a wonderful time catching up with an old friend and meeting his new love this week. I was in a race with HUGE storm clouds.....and I'm calling the race a draw. Jeremy and Matthew's love and energy helped keep the rain away just long enough to have a wonderful power shoot with Shockoe Bottom as the backdrop. Then it p-o-u-r-e-d, young love.
